WETRANSFER CULTURE TRANSFORMATION
“ARC has been an incredible partner in this journey. With their guidance and support, we have built the foundation for a company culture that will support our strategic goals long into the future.
It’s only been a few months since we started using the Tools and launched our Culture Code and we are already seeing changes in behaviour that will have a huge impact on the workplace experience we can offer our colleagues; this will in turn drive values for our users, the planet and WeTransfer’s bottom line.”
Danielle Cummins, VP of People & Places, WeTransfer
In 2023, with new leadership and strategy in place, WeTransfer saw an opportunity to update their internal cultural identity in order to increase impact on their ambitious goals. WeTransfer’s senior leadership team partnered with ARC to co-create a new WeTransfer “Culture Code” that can be used by employees across the organisation in their day to day work to better deliver on WT’s long-term strategy. Together, we aimed to build a culture that employees felt in their bones, rather than just on a page.
After a data-driven discovery phase, ARC used an iterative, agile and inclusive approach to build a custom toolkit of 15 simple, effective practices validated by teams across the organisation to help change behaviours and mindsets for adaptability, speed and collaboration. ARC also used design thinking methodologies to reimagine four HR systems to embed and reinforce new behaviours and mindsets. We also developed a calendar of communications activations to launch the new Culture Code and ensure their stickiness and longevity and trained 32 internal facilitators to own the new ways of working for the organisation.
In response to using the new practices, we heard from various leaders that
“I’m loving this…. we can actually get things done”;
“I have such a better understanding of our management structure”
“the team has become much more integrated, with shared ownership and more diverse perspectives included in the work.”
